Housing through faith.
Quality of life through faith.
Placemaking through faith.

What is the Faith-Based Housing Initiative?
The FBHI links incremental development talent with leaders of faith in order to build mission-based housing. Our program helps congregations attain the skills and plans they need to build better places that inspire and provide meaning for their communities.
1.
CityVisit
Our opening event is an in-person catalyst to build local momentum and prepare for our full training. FBHI convenes congregational and civic leaders to introduce faith-based housing concepts, case studies, and explore how it may work in a particular city or region.
-

2. Design School
In a ½ day charrette, participating congregations work with our world class designers to draw schematic site plans that include scaled drawings, parking, trees, open space, and potential architecture.
-

3. Development School
In this intensive four-part curriculum, congregations refine their project vision, learn development fundamentals, build pro formas, and create investor proposal packages. By the end, participants have a complete “Deal Book” with site plans, execution plans, and clear next steps to maintain momentum.
